Psychometric Evaluation of Life Habits Assessment (LIFE-H) Using Rasch Analysis
Lee Ye-Jin

Abstract
Objective : To examine the psychometric properties of the Life Habits Assessment (LIFE-H) using Rasch analyses.

Methods : 23 community-dwelling older adults were recruited in South Korea. We performed the interview to measure the LIFE-H. We used Rasch analysis to determine internal validity, reliability, and item difficulty of the LIFE-H.

Results : Our results found 16 misfitting items from the accomplishment and satisfaction scales of the LIFE-H, respectively, which indicated internal validity were not satisfactory. After removing 16 misfitting items, the first revised versions of the LIFE-H included 15 items for the accomplishment and satisfaction scales, respectively. Of the 15 items of the first revised versions, the common 8 items of the accomplishment and satisfaction scales were identified and categorized as the second revised version of the LIFE-H. Both revised versions showed good internal validity while the first revised versions had more satisfactory reliability than the second version of the LIFE-H.

Conclusions : The revised versions showed satisfactory internal validity and reliability, which can increase its feasibility and effectiveness of evaluating participation.
